TRI i DVE
TRI i DVE is a group of five musicians
from central, eastern Europe and Japan.
All exceptional classical musicians in their own right,
they come together to explore music of many different cultures.
Their highly charged performances take audiences
on a journey to discover traditional music from all over Europe,
from Tzigane, Klezmer and Balkan folk to salon music of Vienna and Italy.
The name ‘TRI i DVE’ comes from the Bulgarian for ‘Three and Two’ and relates to the typical asymmetry of Balkan rhythms.
Formed in 2008,
they released their début album East, West…What Else?! in 2009, and their second album Balkan 'o' clock will be released shortly.
They have performed throughout Switzerland in collaboration with many orchestras and choirs and have been invited to give concerts in the UK, France, Germany and Italy.
